Quiet - Lovely!
Beautiful, peaceful horse property. Quiet and lovely. A definite place for a retreat. We loved our stay!
It was our sincere pleasure hosting you all! Hope to see you for another visit, anytime!
This place is really out in the sticks. but if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s awesome. I think this house is the best on their property, somewhat secluded from the others and the porch is fantastic. The horses graze 20 ft from the front door. They even have a hiking trailhead right on the property. Would absolutely stay again.
Henry, we sincerely appreciate your visit and being able to meet your family. It was a pleasure hosting you - hope you're able to make a return visit! Thank you!
Peaceful and Quite!
We stayed in the Ranch House. Very comfortable all amenities present and worked as described. Beautiful area, great for a base to make day trips to Gila River, Bill Evans, Catwalk, etc. Very peaceful and quiet as a lazy get away for couples. The screened porch was great. We moved the dining table and chairs out on it to enjoy morning and evening meals outside w/out any flies. We will likely be back. T
Thanks so much for your visit! It was our sincere pleasure. We hope we'll see you again for another getaway!
The ranch is absolutely beautiful. We had a great time wandering around the property and sitting on the veranda enjoying the gorgeous mountain views. Highly recommend.
Thanks so much, Nancy! We sincerely appreciate your visit and hope we'll see you and your family, again. Anytime! Best regards!
We stayed here - instead of a hotel - when our granddaughter graduated from. Western New Mexico University. It was a quiet place to relax. We grilled and played games with the her and her friends. It rained but with the screened in porch it wasn't a problem. The beds are very comfortable and we all agreed we were sleeping better than at home. Thank you Chris for fixing the wi-fi and adding air to a low tire. Next time we go we hope to take our ATV (if allowed). You will not find a better place to stay.
Thanks very much, Phyllis! We appreciated your visit and hope we see you and your family again on another trip!
Thank you for a great weekend!
Debbie - We're so happy to know you enjoyed your stay! We sincerely appreciate your visit and hope we see you and Dan again.
A Step Back in Time
We enjoyed our stay in the Ranch House. It's like a step back in time but has everything you need to be comfortable. We loved sitting on the porch, enjoying the views and watching the horses. It was nice to roam around the property and we took our shoes off to cross the creek and then hike on their trail up the mountain. It was a beautiful drive in to Silver City and we ate at our favorite restaurant there, Jalisco. Debbie and Alan are great hosts. It's the perfect place to unwind and we're looking forward to staying again sometime.
We just want to say thanks again for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of your place. Thanks too for bringing us a different coffee maker and for letting us take a mug home with us. I think you could offer those for sale.I loved the antiques and art work and the rustic charm of the Ranch House. It was comfortable and homey feeling.
Thanks so much, Carol! I sincerely hope we DO see you both again! It would be our pleasure!
We enjoyed our stay!
We enjoyed our stay in the Ranch house! It was especially nice to be able to see the horses right out the kitchen window and to be able to out and love them. Thanks for making accommodations for us this week.
Another Wonderful Stay!
Thank you for another stay at Double E Ranch! We loved every second. Such a treat to see Bill and Alan do mounted shooting!
Thanks, Shari! We are always happy to hear you enjoy it as much this time as you did the first! We hope to see you and your family again on another trip!
The house and the property were gorgeous! Debbie was super communicative and lovely. We can’t wait to come back!
It was our pleasure having you visit the ranch. We'll look forward to your summer visit, as well!
Authentic working ranch experience! Unique (to this New Yorker), isolated, gorgeous landscape, lovely clean cabin with super comfy beds, clean linens and towels and wonderful atmosphere with horses everywhere! Great value too. Highly recommend!
Quite, Peaceful and Rustic
The cabin was comfortable and cozy. Our hosts have done a wonderful job of decorating to make you feel like you have stepped back in time but with all the modern amenities, including TV, WiFi and internet. Kitchen is well equipped. We were here to visit the Silver City area. The cabin is more than 30 miles from town and the last part of the drive is a somewhat challenging gravel road, but the scenery is beautiful.
Thanks Sara, for your kind words. We're happy you enjoyed your stay. It would be our pleasure to host you again, should you be in the area. -- Debbie
A Perfect Get-a-Way
We had such a great time in the Ranch House. It was exactly what we and the dogs needed. Exploring the property was so much fun and everyone was so friendly. My dog Ellie Mae loved sniffing on the horses. The screened in porch was really nice to sit and enjoy the quiet of the land.Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We certainly enjoyed hosting you, your husband and Ellie Mae! Your visit was sincerely appreciated and we hope to see you all again, soon!

Another Awesome Family Vacation!
Thank you for another awesome Family vacation for us to add to our memory books!!! Thank you again for all of your help when we where "stuck in the wild" and needed assistance. We will ever forget. We will be back soon. Take care - and, again, thank you!
It was truly our pleasure, as always, to have you and your family visit!
Great Family Time!
My family and I had a great time at the ranch. It was our first in the area and didn't really know what to expect. The house is nestled in a little valley and is like an oasis in the desert surroundings. The setting is beautiful and very peaceful. The house is very rustic and has everything you need to be comfortable. The wrap around porch was perfect for drinking coffee in the morning. We hope to plan another trip again soon!
This is a magical place! The giant cottonwood trees are amazing and the beautiful creek and tree lined roads enchanting. I had the bed in the room with the fireplace and was so relaxed I barely ruffled the covers. I highly recommend the ranch! Everything was just wonderful!
This is the heart of the ranch but still quiet and private. Horses in two directions, great kitchen and interesting bathroom. Lots of space along with all the comforts of home. Great covered front porch is the place to be. A large Red Tailed Hawk sat in the tree beside the house for hours the day I arrived - fabulous. Also saw Big Horn Sheep, wild turkeys, Sandhill Cranes and Mule deer. Many trails to explore - some flat and some steep. Great place with helpful, available owners. Can hardly wait to return.
Just What We Needed!
This was the perfect place for us to unwind, disconnect and enjoy each other's company. The scenery was amazing and the Ranch House was the coolest for our after Christmas get away. Seeing and hearing the horses and the wide variety of birds was an added delight to our days. All of the staff/hosts were exceptional! We will be back!
Peaceful and quiet. A great place to relax. Lots of great day trip options. Comfortable. Great screened porch where you can sit and watch the horses.”“This was the highlight of our vacation. We didn't want to leave. I hope we have the opportunity to return someday. First class place. Thanks for letting us stay.”
This Place is Amazing!
This place is amazing - the hosts are gracious, kind, and have set up a special place to unwind! I could totally seeing myself bringing a pile of books a mile high, my hiking boots, some great wine and escaping by here for a month! we feel the slow pace helped us live more life during each of our days here...
We had a wonderful time! Thank you for everything!
It was sincerely our pleasure hosting you and your family over the holiday weekend!
A beautiful sanctuary, restful and relaxing surrounded by nature.
Rustic and Tranquil
Debbie and her family went out of their way to accommodate the needs of our family, including our dog. Loved the quiet and tranquility of this remote setting. Our dog loved his walks around the ranch (and so did we). The ranch house is both rustic and comfortable. Thanks for everything! We had a wonderful stay at the ranch house. Loved the tranquility and beauty of the Double E Ranch. Thank you for accommodating our family's needs.
We Loved It!
Hi Debbie,Carla and I would like to thank you for steering us into the old ranch house for our stay there, and for giving us such a good rate. The house was great, better than expected. Carla wants me to especially thank you for having a comforter for the bed. The bathroom is really nice and Carla enjoyed the tub. The kitchen was perfect; we had everything we needed except ice trays. We really enjoyed the screened porch and simply relaxing and viewing the horses and mountains. The best part of all is that we were able to have our beloved dog Bugsy with us. The road between headquarters and Turtleback was beautiful, and we walked it and explored at least twice everyday. You really have a wonderful property and we are so glad that we were privileged to experience it for a few days.We would love to visit again, although my work schedule will severely limit our ability to do so.Thank you again for this visit.Sincerely,Fritz and Carla
Hi Fritz and Carla, It was our pleasure hosting you both and Bugsy. I sincerely appreciate your willingness to be so flexible and hope we see you all again, one day. Best regards, Debbie
