New Mexico Cabin Rentals at Double E Ranch is Proudly Owned and Operated by Veterans of the United States Navy

Quaint, Rural Southwest Atmosphere tucked along Bear Creek offering unlimited hiking opportunities, bird watching and star gazing - New Mexico Cabin Rentals in Gila NM is where you can escape the crowds!  This southwest New Mexico rural farming and ranching community is small - population 500 - with many of the conveniences you'd find in a much larger town.  This gem is at the very end of a four mile dirt road, private and secluded.  Slowly winding Bear creek lined with giant cottonwood, juniper and sycamore trees front your cabin.  360 private acres 4 miles from the Village of Gila,  adjoining thousands of acres of public lands - including the legendary Gila National Forest.  At 4800' our high desert southwest location guarantees year round weather milder than found in many other vacation get-a-way destinations.  This is what you're missing!  Plan your long term vacation rental lodging early.

Once the 30,000 acre Double E Ranch, Owners Debbie and Alan have maintained the rustic, ranching charm of the surrounding grounds and this log home, preserving some of the original ranching heritage nearly 200 years gone by.

Thinking of buying a home in the southwest?  Why not 'try before you buy'.  Our rates are affordable, include telephone, internet, heating, air conditioning, are fully furnished with all  bedding and bath towels provided, kitchens with full sized appliances - including dishwasher! On-site maintenance and staff, as well.   You only need to bring your personal items, preferred food and beverages (ground coffee?).  One of our properties has it's own washer/dryer (Rio Lobo Cottage)!  The remaining four share a convenient community washer/dryer.  Explore our area.  Find out what amazing adventures are possible, year round.  You're close enough to such places as Las Cruces, El Paso, Tucson, Phoenix or Albuquerque to easily plan a long weekend trip, if you need a 'city-fix'.

Drive 4 miles to the quaint Village of Gila to find many conveniences.   Offering a first rate medical clinic, churches, library, art gallery, senior center (serves lunch!), post office.   Just across the Gila River 3 miles further,  you'll find Duck Creek Restaurant for either dine-in or take-out, a gas station and convenience store.
